Registration and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and Refunds

Below are some helpful tips about New Horizons of Washington, D.C. registration policies.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

 Class Hours

Classes generally run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break.  Online Live classes originate at other New Horizons centers and may have different hours.

Please register early.  Request enrollment online on this website, by telephone at (703) 749-4030, or by fax at (703) 749-4029.  New Horizons will check class availability and contact you within one business day to confirm your enrollment. Payment is due prior to attending classes.  Voucher users must bring all vouchers for multi-day classes on the first day of class.

To cancel an enrollment please give three days advance notice for a computer user class and ten days for an information technology class.

 Classes Start Promptly

Because late arrivals disrupt class flow, we ask that you arrive 20 minutes prior to class start time.  If you are more than 15 minutes late your seat may be given to a student on standby.  If you arrive more than 30 minutes late you may not be admitted to class.

 Severe Weather Closing Policy

Should the federal government close due to severe weather, New Horizons will not conduct classes.  School closings, liberal leave policies, and delayed openings will not affect our normally scheduled class start time.

If class is paid for using Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers (SATVs), ten (10) business days' notice is required to reschedule without additional fees.

In case of a no-show or cancellation with less than ten (10) business days' notice, 100% of class price ($495 per day per student) will be due according to date of original invoice or date of Term Net 30. Any coupons used will not be returned to the coupon pool. If a seat license was used, the client will forfeit those days. For premium classes, multiple coupons will be pulled.

Students are allowed up to One (1) reschedule per class up until 48-hours before course start date. Any reschedules after that point will incur a processing fee equal to 50% of the published course price (MSRP). The new session date must be given at the time of the reschedule notification and rescheduled classes must be taken within six-months of original invoice date.
